Ross Gilham-Jones

I founded LEAP Hockey in 2014 after realizing that my passion was not only playing the game but, actually passing my knowledge and experience onto the next generation of athletes.  Having played hockey from the age of four, International hockey for England and Great Britain from the age of fifteen. Winning a silver medal at the Youth Olympics and being selected for the Great Britain Rio 2016 Olympic Games squad.  I understand the commitment and dedication it takes to reach the top level. I am also extremely fortunate to have worked alongside the world’s best including 5 x World Player of the Year Jamie Dwyer, Eddie Ockenden, Tyler Lovell, Kwan Browne and many more, these experiences have therefore given me a worldwide perspective of the sport today.

With a high drive to succeed, optimistic attitude and a never give up philosophy, I assure you that the LEAP Hockey program will have a positive impact on athletes mental and physical performance. Plus, with the use of video technology today, we can assess your performance and improve your techniques.

Coaching for over 10 years I have worked with various schools, clubs and players all over the world. From children, all the way up to international players, pushing them to reach their full potential and achieve their dreams. Currently in my second season at Temple University in Philadelphia, a Division 1 program in the USA. I am more driven than ever to grow the game and give players the opportunity to have a healthy, active, fun-filled lifestyle playing this amazing sport.
