How To Improve

On the show-and-go, remember it is a drift left with you seeming to step the wrong way to the right and then using the step to reach back and pull the ball to the right, so it shows left but goes right. It all comes down to body deception and quick breakdown movements.

Harper, We loved the control and quickness of the three backspaces to the lift forward, and adding the bounce-ups or direction changes in the air was a bonus.

How To Improve

To set up the ramp ball, your pull has to be fast, or the ball will not follow the slant of the stick's toe. Remember that the round side rests against the ground, with the flat at a slight angle when you roll it over the ball. The ball will automatically follow the slant of the flat to ramp over.

When doing the fake for the c-dodge to a pull, make sure your fake dips down (Butt drops), not out as you through the shoulder or head. You were extending over your feet and were a little off balance after the C-dodge, which caused a forward slant to the dodge instead of a quick pull across.

How To Improve

When drifting to the right, do small fakes over the ball, then pull left to catch one-handed and go forward. Ensure you are balanced and not leaning over the stick fakes, and shift your weight to help catch the ball with your left hand in a stable stance to move forward right away.

How To Improve

When making a backspace, pull left to right at a slant. To set up the move forward to the right, wrap your body around where you pull the ball before moving forward. This will stop a defender from getting a jab at the ball before you make the explosion forward. It all comes down to footwork and body control.

How To Improve

When doing the V-pull to a reverse lift back right into a forehand lift forward, keep your shoulders forward but rearrange your hips so that your legs and body weight shift brings the ball back on the reverse lift. This will help get your feet and body into a position to do the forehand lift immediately. It all comes down to footwork and body control.

When dipping the ball behind your back on either side. When you do the tap back, your legs bend to help with the pushing momentum, and your upper body needs to twist just a little to help guide the ball across the back so it stays within reach as you snap your upper body around the other way to catch the ball.

How To Improve

With the pull left to a lift forward and a tap back to the left. Control comes from using your whole body, not just your arms, to lift. When you make the pull across, squat down and lean your right shoulder back so the stick creates a ramp. As the ball touches the stick, use a little wrist to start the lift, but the rest comes from your legs, so you can match the ball's speed as it goes up and forward. This will allow you to shift your weight across to tap the ball back left instead of swinging as you catch up to its motion.

The most important part of the move is the fake on the C-dodge to a pull and lift. If you are already leaning right as the stick goes over the ball, a good defender will know what's coming and reverse to tackle the ball. Through that head and sink into the left leg, everything says I am going to the left. The defender will never see the pull coming.

For the ramp ball, pull the ball angle forward, left to right, and tilt the stick slightly so the flat side creates a mini ramp, and the speed of your pull rumps the ball up and over, and you are not lifting it back across to the right. Done correctly, it will ramp over a flat stick tackle forward for you to follow and accelerate.

Watch on the jab and retreat. To protect your feet, you must stay at a 45% angle; feet shoulder apart with the left foot forward and right foot slightly back. This will allow minimal movement across with your stick to protect your feet and still through the jab quickly. How To Improve

On the ramp ball, once you have pulled it forward, roll your stick over so it ends even with your lead foot with the rounded part at a 45-degree angle. This leaves the flat part to create the ramp wedge, allowing the ball to roll quickly over a stick.

How To Improve

With the C-doge (Stick over the ball), pull right and lift. When you go over the ball, sell the fake with a head nod or shoulder shrug. The defender will see the body's motion and get confused.

Harper, We loved the control on the bounce-ups, and adding the movement and switching to reverse stick now and again was fun to watch.

How To Improve

On the 2 backspaces to a lift (reverse or forehand), step away from the ball to create space to drop and bend your legs instead of forcing the hunch at the midsection and shoulders. This allows you to get your legs involved to get the lift and adds the ability to change that direction in the air.

For the slice ball, think more of cross-cutting under the ball with your stick angled so the back–round–toe is at a 45% angle to create a wedge to slice across the ball in one quick motion instead of reverse lifting it.

How To Improve

Remember, with the aerial catch; it is about soft hands guiding the ball down so you can do a quick pull or lift just as the ball settles just by shifting your weight.
